Sanna & Adam

Sanna and Adam have been dancing and teaching swing dances together for nearly twenty years. They met on the dance floor in the mid-aughts and have been exploring, teaching, and sharing their love of swing ever since. Known for the joy and connection they bring to the social dance floor, they approach teaching with an emphasis on authenticity, positivity, and collaboration. Their classes balance solid technique with playfulness, curiosity, and plenty of stupid jokes, encouraging dancers to develop their own voice, musicality, and movement while never taking themselves too seriously.

Lucía & javi

Lucía and Javi have been dancing and teaching swing dances together for more than a decade. Their balboa adventure began in 2014, they both fell in love with this dance and since then, they wish to spread this feeling among other people in their local dance school Black Bottom and throughout Europe.

In classes, they love to focus on partnership and creating an harmonious flow while dancing in couple playing and reacting with each other. They offer students the tools for both ‘leader’ and ‘follower’ to communicate and create together their own steps and variations. For them, dancing Balboa is a continuous game with music and the fun of jazz dance in its purest form. Be ready for challenging and playfulness classes with them!

Maria & luis

As a dynamic Balboa partnership based in Mallorca, Luis and Maria bring an infectious blend of high energy, technical precision, and pure joy to the dance floor. Together, they draw deep inspiration from the historical roots of the dance and the legendary "old timer" figures of the 1930s and 40s, blending that classic spirit with a fresh, creative approach to modern partner communication.

While Luis brings his North American experience and dynamic risk-taking, Maria grounds the partnership with her exceptional musicality and signature carefree style. In their classes, they offer a rich, detailed learning experience packed with positive energy, ensuring their students develop both solid technique and their own individual expression. Whether they are competing on the international stage, teaching at their home base at Jazz Bouncing, or social dancing, Luis and Maria share one core mission: to celebrate the music and elevate the global Balboa community.
