Join Stephan Wuthe and his phonograph for a walk throughout Berlin and discover it’s jazz history!

There will be two walks, scheduled so that workshop participants can join at least one of them.

Friday, March 6th – "Friedrichstraße"

15:00–17:00
Step back in time as we dance through historic Berlin! With 1920s–30s jazz, vaudeville, and show tunes, you’ll twirl and sway to the rhythms of a wind-up phonograph at iconic spots like the Admirals Palast.

Our journey ends at the Kantine Berliner Ensemble for a coffee break—fittingly, the venue where Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill’s The Threepenny Opera had its world premiere in 1928.

Sunday, March 8th – "Schöneberg"

12:00–14:00

Explore over a century of queer history in Berlin’s legendary “Bermuda Triangle”! Dance through the streets to 1920s–30s jazz, vaudeville, and show tunes, spinning along to the sounds of a wind-up phonograph at iconic spots like Scala and Eldorado.

Our tour concludes at Nolle-Turm / Metropol near U-Bahn Nollendorfplatz—perfect for soaking up the history and grabbing a coffee before continuing your day.

The precise meeting points will be shared after you register.

Limited spots available! If you need to cancel, please email balboainberlin@gmail.com to give someone else the chance to join.
